Marie Cool Fabio Balducci (b. 1961 Valenciennes, France, 1964 Ostra, Italy) collaborate as an artist duo in Paris and Pergola, Italy. They attracted attention through actions in which they respond with simple gestures to the physical characteristic of materials. The materials involved are simple office supplies and work material. For Untitled, photocopy machine, atlas, paper handkerchief they have copied images of the globe from a world atlas onto commercially available paper tissues. The devices and materials used are also part of the work’s title: process and result overlap, flow into one another, and create a poetic moment.
Marie Cool Fabio Balducci took part in documenta 14 in Athens and Kassel in 2017, the 6th Berlin Biennale in 2010 and were a fellow of the DAAD artists’ programme in 2014.
