Bradley Davies

2019

Bradley Davies was born in London in 1990 and lives in Cologne. In 2017 he completed his master studies with Michael Krebber at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. Davies works in various artistic media, preferably painting, sculpture and installation, but also performance and sound recordings. He combines freely and associatively what he encounters and thus eludes unambiguity. He is interested in the deviations and flaws in the mass-media image, the meanings of which he charges through cropping and repetition, the selection of his artistic materials, and his handling of the work, often disguised as a joke.

Exhibitions (selection): 2019 Broadley Speaking, Neue Alte Brücke, Frankfurt am Main; Köln um halb acht, Temporary Gallery. Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst, Cologne; 2018 Neuer Essener Kunstverein; 2017 After the Fact, Lehnbachhaus, Munich, Tanya Leighton, Berlin, 12 Star Gallery, London; 2013 The Plymouth Museum & Art Gallery, England.
