As part of the exhibition “Briesener Zootzen” by Till Krause at the GAK, the Autonomous Architecture Studio invites you to take an urban walk through the Neusadt of Bremen. Starting at the GAK, the path from the Teerhof leads through streets that are familiar to many people in Bremen, but which at second glance hold many surprises in store. The participants are invited to perceive the urban space from different perspectives and to let their gaze wander to spatial elements that are outside the everyday experience.
Based on the works of Till Krause, the walk will explore the regulations of urban space and which regulations the users impose on themselves. Direct pathways will be used as far as possible and the relationship between public and private space and the space in between will be explored. The AAA will draw on its knowledge of urban development, architecture and urban history from 10 years of urban Walks.
