Recurrencies is a recurring program series, which takes place between our exhibitions and opens up space for temporary artistic formats.
On four dates in September, the focus will once again be on performances, bringing together one artistic position from Bremen and one from outside the city. The invited artists address individual and collective spaces of experience between memory and imagination. The performances range from collective marching, to a hypnosis session and a barrel organ duet, to a close-up dialogue about hope, expression, and emotions. Through their physical presence, they address points of friction between time, language, structure, and space.
The program takes place independently of but in dialogue with our exhibitions and, in particular, by bringing together different perspectives at each event, invites a mutually complementary, challenging, or even contradictory exchange.
